Lost & Found

If during the course of a Cascade Games event you misplace an item(s), please contact Questions by email within 60 days of the event. You must have a complete and accurate description of the item(s) that you have misplaced. If it is discovered that we have a possession of yours, we can then work on determining a time and place when it can be returned to you.

We accept cash and checks. We are unable to take credit and debit cards.

About These Events

Format: Standard

Description: The structure for the Cascade Games States will be modified-Swiss style, with a cut to top players playing in single elimination for prizes based on attendance.

K Value: 24

REL (Rules Enforcement Level): Competitive

Top 8: The Top 8 will play a single-elimination finals.

Prizes:

The State champion will win:

2008 Champion Plaque.
Free entry into all Premier level constructed events for 1 year by all participating Organizers.*
Specialty DCI Card (to be mailed later).

Other prizes include:

Special foil card for participants while supplies last.
Top 8 players each receive a commemorative States Playmat.
Product prizes - based on attendance.

* The entry is non-transferable.

Trading: Trading is allowed at all Cascade Games events. Buying and selling cards to anyone other than the dealer is not.

Parents & Spectators: Parents and spectators are welcome at all Cascade Games events. We encourage parents and spectators to support their players by promoting good sportsmanship.

The tournament length is determined by the total number of rounds.
The number of rounds are determined by the total number of players.
Rounds are 50 min. The approximate time to pair, play and close a round is under 60 min.

Regular, Competitive, or Professional:

At State Championship events, the emphasis is on competitive play with a high degree of sportsmanship.
You need to know the rules well, and be polite and respectful to your opponents.
If there is a disagreement, or a question about a ruling, you need to call a judge.

Preparing for the event:

If you will be using sleeves be sure they are all the same color and size.
Be careful to never accept, or offer anything in exchange for a concession. Bribery is something that Cascade Games takes very seriously.
It could be a long day, we suggest bringing a bottle of water.
