Driving Directions
From I-5 Southbound/Northbound:
- At exit 133 (City Center Exit) turn RIGHT onto the ramp towards
I-705/ City Center.
- Keep LEFT to stay on ramp towards I-705/ City Center.
- Turn LEFT onto ramp towards A Street/ City Center.
- Keep LEFT to stay on ramp towards S. 15th Street/ Pacific
Avenue.
- Follow S. 15th Street two blocks, the GTCTC will be on your left
at 1500 Broadway.
- To access onsite parking, Turn LEFT on Market Street.
- Turn LEFT again on S. 17th Street to access Parking Lots.

Parking
The GTCTC's parking lots accommodate a total of 670
parking spaces (450 in the covered 2nd floor parking garage, accessible
from Lot A). Nearby garages and lots including and surrounding the
GTCTC can accommodate a total of 1150 vehicles. These parking lots
can be accessed off of Market & 17th Street. On site parking lots are operated by Republic Parking, and
managed by the City of Tacoma.
Additional
parking is also available at the Tacoma Dome Station, which can be
accessed via Sound Transit’s light rail system (complimentary), with a
pick-up and drop-off station at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade
Center.

Tournament Structure
- Modified Swiss-style
(50-minute rounds).
- Rules Enforcement
Level (REL) is
Competitive (Day 1) and
Professional (Day 2)
- If 799 or less
players register for the
event, all players with
an X-2-0 record (or
better) or the top 64
players - whichever is
greater
- advance to the
second day of
competition for prizes
and invitations.
- If 800 or more
players register for the
event, all players with
an X-2-0 record (or
better) or the top 128
players - whichever is
greater
- advance to the
second day of
competition for prizes
and invitations. .
- The top 8 players
after the final Swiss
round on Day 2 will
advance to the Top 8
single-elimination
finals.
- Top 8 matches will
be best 2 of 3
- Top 8 matches will
have no time limit
- Where necessary, the
standings after the
Swiss rounds will still
be used to determine
final order in the
standings.
