The 11/11/11 Cascade Games Special

11/11/11 happens only once a century, and Cascade Games is celebrating with a special event!
$11 buys a four-pack M11 1-1/1-1 sealed-draft.
What’s that? It’s 1/3 sealed and 2/3rds draft:
Take four packs, open the first and keep it, open the second and draft left, open the third and keep it, open the fourth and draft right.
This fun event offers a new challenge for limited players.
The winner of the event even takes home a complete set of M11!
Registration opens on 11/11/11 at… 11:11am.

Chase the Promos Sealed.

Players build a sealed deck from 6 packs of Innistrad and play four rounds of Swiss.
All players receive 1 promo card for participating.
Prizes based on points after 4 rounds of Swiss. $30 Entry Fee

  • 12 pts = 4 promo cards and 4 boosters.
  • 9 – 11 pts = 2 promo cards and 2 boosters.
  • 6 – 8 pts = 1 promo card and a booster pack.
(Promo card choices limited to one choice of each type available - no duplicates).

As an additional prize, Top 8 players receive a $25 gift certificate to Jeux Face a Face.
Registration closes at 5:45 pm. Play begins at 6:00 pm.

We will run a series of Grand Prix Trials (GPT) on Friday afternoon.
These events are your last chance to win byes into Grand Prix San Diego the next day.
We will run a 32 person single elimination Grand Prix Trial (GPT) every time we have 32 players

Registration and Schedule

  • Friday, November 11: Registration Noon - 10 pm

Tournament Format

  • Innistrad - Sealed Deck
  • Deck lists are required

Prizes 

  • Winner - Third-Round Bye. (byes are not cumulative with other byes and do not pass down)
  • 1st place wins a 3-round bye to Grand Prix San Diego and 1/2 Box
  • 2nd place wins 1/2 Box of Innistrad
  • 3rd & 4th win 1/4 Box each of Innistrad

Tournament Structure

  • Single Elimination, Swiss-style (50-minute rounds).
  • Rules Enforcement Level (REL) is Competitive
  • Planeswalker Points Multiplier: 3x

  • All Universal Tournament Rules and Magic: The Gathering Floor Rules are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document. Rules documents can be found in the DCI Document Center.
